The FINAL TEXTS series was the last in a group of series of acrylic paintings designed to symbolize, through illegible texts, the Babel-like chaos in the world. I created all these series when I was in my 90s and eager to give final expression to my view of the state of the world. I used a stencil which has an abstract design because although the notations in that stencil seem to be those of writing, they are illegible. My poor eyesight required me to use a limited palette. I still delighted in using bright colors.
